Here’s a list of things to get up to this May Bank Holiday Weekend…
Friday
- Attend the Festival Launch hosted by GLYPT on Friday evening at 6pm
Saturday
- Book a family yoga class with yours truly (Manny Ngo Yoga) on Satuday at 1.30pm
- Go on an adventure with Malcolm and the Storydrivers
- Listen to author Joseph Coehlo read his latest book, ‘Luna Loves Library Day‘ at West Greenwich Library
- Listen to some free live music at The Tramshed Woolwich by Sounds of The World group
Sunday
- Check out circus act Project_Vee perform juggling tricks to excite and scare you at Greenwich Park
- Prefer to watch a show instead? Head down to The Tramshed Woolwich and watch Magical Moggie at 3pm which is suitable for all ages. Magical Moggie is a multi-sensory production suitable for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, and their families
- Get out and about with this free Greenwich Walking Tour but be aware, it’s not your standard walking tour… discover hidden building signs, chiselled graffiti and more
- Treat the kids to an Okido make-and-do craft session in Dulwich at the Cooper Beach Cafe. The event starts at 11.45am
- Hear how the man in the moon comes to earth to dance the night away after having watched people on earth dancing at the Museum of London
Monday
- Enjoy special stories of life in Woolwich with writer in residence, Louise Page throughout the day, from 10am until 4pm. These local stories will then be developed into ‘A Soap from Woolwich’
- Hop along to Bright Emporium on Monday evening at 7pm if you fancy a fun filled hour of adventure. Cat & Hutch are a duo combining storytelling with drama games
- Head down to the Museum of London for a free screening of Early Man and learn to accessorize like a cave man at the free craft activity session
- Or head over to the Museum of London Docklands and learn about ancient Roman perfumes and make your own fragrance with the kids to take home
- Join in the interactive Transbook exhibition down at Discover Children’s Story Centre in Stratford; “we set new rules for the reader, rules that let the reader play, take action, feel a story and dive into it.”
