A letter to Baby Girl on her first birthday

Dear Baby Girl,

Happy 1st Birthday!

We hope you enjoyed it, it was a blast!

Everyone had a brilliant time and I am so grateful for the turnout that we had. We decided to host your birthday at Discovery Planet in Surrey Quays because (1) it’s close to home and a good location for everyone, and (2) the birthday package deal they offered was great value. We decided to have your cake made by auntie Dinah (DinahsDesserts.com) because her cakes taste scrumptious and look amazing. She didn’t let us down with your unicorn cake at all! It was definitely the second star of the show – the first being you, of course. 🙂

Mummy decided to be a little cheaper with your dress and ordered it from Ebay but had a lovely back-up dress too but luckily your dressed looked amazing and not cheap at all so we stuck with the first choice. I remember when I had first put you in it a week before your birthday – I could see the look in your eyes and your smile said it all. I knew you felt like a princess. It was the first time you actually wore a proper dress to be honest.

On the day of your birthday you had so much fun playing in the soft play area with your big brother and all of your friends. We took lots of photos of you eating, playing and having a brilliant time.

Then when it was time to sing you “Happy Birthday” and get your big brother to help you blow out your candles, it was a lovely moment. Your brother was very shy (he’s the total opposite of you) but he helped you blow out your candles perfectly. You also liked to dip your toe into your cake which looked too good to cut! It was just stunning – Mummy definitely wants a unicorn cake for her birthday too. 🙂 At the end of your birthday party, we handed out your friend’s goody bags and managed to take a good group photo with you. Your friends also had a lovely little dance-off before leaving and everyone had a brilliant time plus ice cream upon leaving.

Your first birthday now has a digital footprint so you’ll be able to look back at any time in your life and read this. I know I haven’t written much but I hope the photos will be enough to show you how much fun you had.

It was a great day.

You are mummy’s baby girl, Daddy’s little princess, and big brother’s BFF…
We all love you very much.

Such a great way of recording the day and giving your little one something to look back on. #DreamTeam x
