My Fitness Journey so far…
If you’ve been following me on Instagram (@mannyngo) you will know that I have started to embark on a journey to a healthier lifestyle over the last few weeks. My ab-separation has pretty much gone now – at most they are between 1-1.5 finger width apart. Around the belly button feels a little more like just under 2 finger widths apart but I think it’s normally a little more gappy around the belly button.
I started off with going to a mum & baby pilates class by Bing Pilates (which I am still attending now) and then a week later I signed up to my local Better Gym and now take several fitness classes a week. I also experimented with different classes.

I went to a Total Body Conditioning class which is a high-intensity workout that combines cardio & strength training… yeah I don’t think I’m going back to that anytime soon haha!. *I went back and loved it! I will be adding it to my fitness routine again.* 🙂 It was really good but as I have never exercised before, a day or two after I was so sore it was so difficult to pick up Baby Girl so I decided to stop that class but will go back when I’ve built up my strength. I then tried a Ballet Fit class which is very much like Barre Pilates – this was good and such a workout for the legs I could hardly walk for the first few days. It was way more manageable than the Total Body Conditioning class though so I will return to it but plan to alternate it with another class. The Ballet Fit class was more bearable but I’ve come to love TBC so will be sticking with that instead of Ballet Fit.
I also tried out a Hot Yoga class which was absolutely amazing! Defo sweated BUCKET LOADS but it’s all good. 🙂 I could really feel the stretches and post-workout I felt so much better but I still have terrible balance. I sprained my ankle back in April and as a result my balance has been compromised. Pre-pregnancy I was able to easily stand on one leg for at least 20 seconds and now I can’t even manage five seconds without wobbling.
My Sportswear Wishlist
My sportswear isn’t that cute. It does the job but that’s about it. So to get into the mood and kick-off of the Rio Olympics vibes, I wanted to create a wishlist of the sportswear that has really caught my eye this summer. I’ve also created a health & fitness board on Pinterest so make sure you check that out if you like the things in this post.

Some of these items are really popular I’ve checked back today yesterday and my size was sold out 😦 – I was so upset so I ordered a few other pieces from Matalan and New Look. Matalan does a great range of sportswear as well so also check them out if you’re looking for some other stores.
Supermarket clothing liness like George for Asda, TU for Sainsburys and F&F for Tesco also have a great range online but not so much when you visit the store.
Have you purchased any sportswear clothing recently or taking up any new fitness classes? #FitnessTuesday
